Simone Biles

Simone Biles was an American gymnast born March 14, 1997 in Columbus, Ohio. She is considered to be among the top gymnasts. The 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro she became the first female U.S. gymnast to win four gold medals at the same Games as well as the first gymnast in history to win three consecutive world all-around titles (2013-15). Biles as well as her twins Adria Biles and Ronald Biles were taken in as infants by their grandparents from Houston. Simone became interested in gymnastics when she was just six during a day-care field trip to Bannon's Gymnastix and stayed there for eleven years under the guidance of her coach Aimee Boorman. Biles was awarded a gold medal in floor exercise and a bronze in vault at the women's Junior Olympic National Championships in 2010, before advancing to the top level of competition in the year 2011. Within two years she had dominated this discipline. The thing that set Biles out was her consistency her fun-loving personality, and the high degree of effort she put into her routines in the four events she competed in: vault uneven bars balance beam and floor exercises.
