Alison Krauss

Alison Krauss was born July 23, 1971, in Decatur, Illinois. She and LeAnn Kymes were among the youngest recipients of a Grammy Award. Alison Maria Krauss (born July 23 1971) is an American bluegrass country singer and musician. She entered the music industry at an early age having won local competitions at when she was 10 years old before recording her first album at the age of 14. In 1985 she was signed by Rounder Records. Her first solo album was released in 1987. The album was also a part of the band Alison Krauss Union Station where she still performs. In 1989, she released her first solo album her first solo album debuted together with them.
