Anya Taylor-Joy

Anya Taylor Joy, a half-English and half-Spanish woman, was born on the 16th of April 1997 in Miami Florida. The child of Dennis Alan Taylor, a former banking executive and Jennifer Marina Joy, a psychologist is Anya Taylor-Joy. The father of her is Argentine who is of Scottish as well as English heritage. Her mother comes from Spanish and English ancestry. Taylor Joy is the youngest of four siblings, one from each of her parents' previous marriages. Buenos Aires was her home up until she was six years old, after which the family relocated to Victoria within London. Taylor-Joy says that moving to London was traumatic and that she was unable to study English to avoid moving back to Argentina. Hill House, a school in the same district as Northlands was required to take her. She then went to Queen's Gate School in London and took ballet classes and took part in plays. When she was 16 she dropped out of school to make a career of acting. From a young age Taylor-Joy had a dream to be an actor and her goals were realized after she was offered a modeling job by Sarah Doukas the founder of Storm Management.
